90 - 140 km/h or 56 - 87 mphLocated on the Mediterranean coast, this southern city is one of the most popular travel destinations in all of Turkey thanks to the lovely shoreline that surrounds it. In addition to beaches, Antalya is also a historical destination that has been inhabited for millennia and bears the heritage of many famous civilizations. These are three of the most interesting attractions in and around it: Hadrian’s Gate. Although the Roman emperor Hadrian is best known for the wall he built several thousand kilometers from Antalya separating the ancient Scottish tribes from the rest of Britain, he also had a notable presence in the Eastern Mediterranean. The gate, now located at the heart of Kaleiçi, Antalya’s charming old town, was built when he visited the city almost 1,900 years ago and has stood as one of the symbols of the city ever since.
